Freedom from Emotional Stress at the Touch of a Finger.
Emotional Freedom Technique EFT is a new approach to long standing Chinese Acupuncture techniques.
EFT is a convenient and user friendly variety of acupuncture without needles.
Patients “get in touch with” their emotional issue while stimulating acupuncture stress relief points by tapping on the points with their finger.
The concept is that this provides a “balancing effect” on the meridians, that exchanges emotional distress with a peaceful relaxed state.
EFT is a relatively new technique that has been shown to provide rapid release from the emotional intensity of fear, frustration, stress, anger, jealousy, sadness, urges, cravings and other negative emotions.
In a single EFT session it is possible to rapidly work through many kinds of negative issues and obtain lasting effective resluts.
The EFT process is not a “Silver Bullet”, however it has been found to often work where many other alternate appraoches have failed and may be used in conjunction with other techniques.

Features of EFT :
EFT is a gentle process.
EFT is under the total control of the patient.
EFT usually results in long lasting effects.
EFT is simple and cheap to learn and perform and can be self administered.
EFT has been found effective at increasing physical performance, such as sports, music etc.
It has also assisted students with “learning ” and has been effective in confidence areas such as public speaking.
When EFT is used in conjunction with meditation, EFT provides a “deeper” meditative state.
EFT has been proven effective with war related emotional distress.
As with many self-help techniques, EFT is not the panacea that solves everything for everyone, however as EFT grows in use, the reported results of EFT, (over the last 10 years and on an ongoing basis), have sometimes been remarkable.
The theory of EFT lies in Chinese theory of energy flow around body meridians and that the cause of negative emotions is a disruption in the meridians around the body’s energy system.
By removing the disruption and correcting energy flow, the emotional disruption is also removed.
EFT can be a gentle yet powerful approach to relieving emotional distress and releasing the capacity for growth and joy.
With its origins in a combination of ancient Chinese medicine and the more recent science of Applied Kinesiology, EFT techniques are simple, gentle, rapid and can be very effective. Long standing fears, phobias and limiting beliefs or behaviors can be quickly and easily eliminated. It has become common to see emotional pains released in less than half an hour.
The Process
The process of EFT is very simple: The patient “gets in touch” with the problem and holds it in the mind, feeling the feelings, hearing the sounds, seeing the sights associated with that problem (tuning in to it in the mind). Once “In Touch” the specific acupuncture points are tapped with the finger. The belief is that this opens the blocked meridians and balances your energy.
When used in conjunction with hypnosis, EFT has been found to be very successful. The tapping can be performed while the patient is under hypnosis.
Once the emotional charge has been released, the patient can be encouraged to imagine how their future life would be without this emotional issue.
Often the patient will view themselves behaving in completely new ways, without the emotional “baggage”.
Since the subconscious mind is unable to differentiate between visualization and reality, the new life that has been imagined, of emotional freedom, is able to become the natural way of being for this person.
EFT’s range of uses is nearly endless, and has been successful with a wide range of issues including: loss, sadness, negative memories, guilt, sleep problems, nightmares, fear, anger, etc as well as issues not necessarily associated with emotional problems such as habitual cravings ( cigarettes, alcohol, food, drugs), allergies, enhancing one’s self image, peak performance ( public speaking, public performance, golf, tennis, other sports), and much more.
